President Obama is to become the first sitting U.S. president to take part in a daytime TV talk show. As his popularity among Americans fades he has agreed to appear of popular programme The View, where he will be quizzed by a panel of five women. Obama is appearing as part of the show's 'Red, White & View' series, which has featured prominent American politicians and discussions on current political issues.

California residents are up in arms that a flag mural — paying homage to victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks — was painted over after the state ruled it was graffiti. State transportation workers on Thursday turned the 35-foot hillside mural on Interstate 680 in Silicon Valley back into a gray slab of concrete, KTVU-TV reported. The explanation? WASHINGTON (AFP) – The Internet has become the third most popular news platform for American adults, trailing only local and national television stations, according to a survey released on Monday.
